The cockroach cupboard is a fixture in the keep of Castle __________. Captain Cedric appears to use it as a form of punishment for lazy guards. Dragomir was forced to guard the cockroach cupboard on several occasions.
The cockroach cupboard derives its name from its mysterious function: whenever a container is placed inside the cupboard and the cupboard is closed, the container is filled with cockroaches. Dragomir eventually discovered that the cupboard contained a weighted button that, when depressed, would open a hole in the top of the cupboard and rain down a serving of cockroaches.
The cockroach cupboard was used by Driscol the Count as a receptacle for dead cockroaches, possibly because they were drained of life in his service. Why he manufactured such an overly-elaborate and weird method of corpse disposal is unknown.
