Iko is a hermit living in an Imperium desert . A spiky-bearded old man, he is both generous and friendly to anyone he encounters - though by his own admission, he gets few visitors in the desert.
Though he seems normal at first glance, Iko appears to have supernatural powers that allow him to access codespace, as well as drag others in with him. He also wants to speak to Dragomir, and he sent Traveller off to find the guard. His motives are doing so, since he doesn't know who Dragomir is, are... dubious.
Iko is fond of peppering his speech with quotations. Whether or not he's making them up to sound more authoritative is anyone's guess.
