The hole (also referred to as "The Glory Hole") is a mining operation secreted inside the east wing of Castle __________. It was initiated by King Jeffrey as a means of unearthing strong, valuable metals for upgrading the realm's army.
Dug into the floor of a spacious warehouse, the hole is secretly expanded by a workforce of brainwashed peasants. Whenever someone comes within the proximity of the hole, they feel the urge to relentlessly dig. The source of this urge is unknown, though it may be a combination of herbal knowhow and magic. Those who work in the hole have no memory of doing so afterward.
Horace the Blacksmith has revealed that the hole's ore deposits are unnaturally uniform and thick.
